WHAT IS THE TOURNAMENT TOUR?
Tournament Tour is a program to provide competitive golfers of all levels with 18-hole stroke play golf outings at courses around the Washington metropolitan area. Players compete within flights based on their handicaps. The Tour events are designed to educate EWGA members on how to play in USGA golf tournaments.
Players of all skill levels are welcome. You need an established 18-hole handicap of less than 40, which is done by submitting five 18-hole score cards to the EWGA Handicap Coordinator or by using EWGA's handicap site, Golf Life Management. http://www.ewga.com/5-Golf_Education/handicap.htm.. Non-EWGA handicaps are acceptable.
The Tour is an overarching item with two parts:
- One - The Tour Champion is determined by playing in four Tour events.
- Two - The Two-Day End of Season Tour event is for ANY Tour player, no matter how many events played.
